How is my donation used?
With Donor Directed Giving through the Newburyport Parks Conservancy you can have a real impact on the outcome of what goes on in your community — your entire donation is spent on projects that mean something to you. You can actively specify your support for anything that helps to improve, beautify and maintain Newburyport’s common spaces such as
An improvement project for a particular park,
Planting trees,
Installing a new memorial bench,
Improving walkways,
Resurfacing tennis courts,
Maintaining athletic fields,
Restoring the Frog Pond,
Renovating a historic fountain,
And many other projects.
The list is as limitless as what you wish our city to be.
How do I let the Conservancy know how I want my donation spent?
The donor directs spending by indicating in the memo field of his or her check or online donation how the money should be spent.
But who pays for all the other costs?
The Mayor Gayden W. Morrill Charitable Foundation provides the organizational umbrella for the Newburyport Parks Conservancy. The city’s operating budget pays for staff to manage parks projects. That means all administrative costs and routine staffing expenses are paid for so that your donation can be used entirely toward your chosen purpose.
How do I make a donation?
